Happy 4th of July week, y'all! I know, I know...you're probably telling me to stop being a background repeater (I used this flag wall for this post), but I love it too much to not use it for this week!

So, usually I would post this a week or two in advance to the actual holiday, but I decided to be different this week. As Americans, we have a natural pride (well, we should), for our country; however, the Americana trend is still in full swing. What does that mean? You can really rock American themed outfits all year round.

You're probably thinking "I know that Elle...I am free to wear whatever I want", but you're missing the point. One of the biggest trends, especially in the young adult/collegiate consumer, is the fratty, flag look. Now, I've lived through the skin-tight-flag-tank days, and have since moved on to more color blocking and such, so I decided to put together some looks for you that work well for any budding American spirit.

I listed the links below the collage. (It's the perfect pin for you pinterest board, so be sure to pin of you like it or just view it my blog board!)  My personal favorite is the Monroe and Harlow Turban. It is super cute, won't break the bank, and can easily be paired with those solid pieces that I love to wear on the Fourth.

While I was in Hawaii last weekend, I had to honor of getting to visit the Arizona Memorial and the Missouri, so while I'm always thankful for our troops, the gratitude has been renewed and around the perfect time...while we celebrate our country! It truly wouldn't be where it is today without the help of our armed forces.

I'm heading to Fredericksburg, Texas this weekend to celebrate. What are you doing? Anything fun? Now that I think of it, any special outfits planned? I just realized I was so focused on sharing some pieces for y'all, that I forgot to figure something out for me! Off to plan the perfect wardrobe for parades, wineries, and orchards! I hope y'all have a blessed Fourth of July!
